NO PAIN,NO GAIN
Many boxers have entertained us over the decades, and many now need our help in hard times. All in our sport will be aware of former boxers who struggle mentally, physically and socially, and as fans we all have a responsibility. 2019 is our opportunity to raise funds for the Ringside Rest & Care Home, a fantastic project to establish a thirty-six bed residential care facility which will be of enormous benefit to those who sadly have no means of support in dark times.
A team of us, including current and former professional boxers Dave Birmingham, Joel McIntyre, Chris Hobbs, Jeff Ofori, Brad and Ashley Pauls ,top female prospect Lucy Wildheart and others to be confirmed will be undertaking a three mile high skydive on Saturday 1st June at GoSkyDive on Salisbury Plain to raise as much as we can to help this very valuable project, one that is very close to our hearts. The boxers and myself are covering the cost of the skydive ourselves, so every single penny raised without exception goes to the cause. It will be a very unique event, professional and former boxers all jumping out of a plane together to help our own, and we would be very, very grateful if you could donate and support us in our efforts.

Jebel Sirwa (3305m). – Morocco Please Note: twice the height of oor own Ben Nevis which stands proudly at 1,345m, then when you take in the heat? the kilt, my age (65) three hip flasks? all adds up to a great wee challenge,
I will be trekking for between 5 and 7 hours per day for several consecutive days. This challenge is not only a wonderful trekking adventure but a genuine cultural experience through a lesser known area of Morocco. For most of the trek, There is a reasonable amount of ascent and descent. On the ascent of the peaks, I will encounter rough conditions and zig-zag trails on scree whilst the final 30m ascent of Jebel Sirwa involves scrambling, with a short-exposed section. However the summit of Jebel Sirwa is optional and will not take away your holiday enjoyment if you decide not to go up the final 30m.(yeh like I, am not going to do that due to the slagging the lads would give me lol)If you wish to take part or sponsor please contact Jock on; mcinnes1984@outlook.com
Please join us on Sunday 30th April 2023 at The Azur,Hastings

OUR JOURNEY ON BRITAINS GOT TALENT
I received an email in October 2020 from a researcher from BGT who had heard our record NEVER GIVE UP NEVER GIVE IN,kindly written and sponsored by Simon Block and would we be interested in taking part in the show in 2021,I immediately said YES.
This led to a series of emails ,zoom meetings, completing health and Covid forms for all the group.
Shortly after Christmas 2020 we were informed that the 2021 BGT would be postponed until 2022 and would we still be interested in taking part then, another YES.
During 2021 still more emails and zoom meetings ,near the end of 2021 we were asked to have a rehearsal and film it,we did this at Popular Blackwall District Rowing Club who kindly offered their premises, due to Covid restrictions only part of the group could attend,I sent the film in .
After which I had to send in pictures of what we would be wearing, unfortunately we couldn’t wear Ringside shirts so went with THE BOXING LEGENDS.
Another email can we have another rehearsal ,again film it and send it in.
We eventually got our audition date 22nd January at The London Palladium.
On the day we all arrived at 07.30 in the morning, unfortunately Simon Block was unable to attend due to Frances Covid restrictions.
Checked in ,more form filling for everyone, sound check, all good.
We were then moved to a hotel to wait, interviews, filming etc, then back to the Palladium for our audition around 21.30 (long day)
You’re on next, the group walked on stage,I was sitting just behind Simon Cowell,he said “I recognise some of you as I’m into my boxing) and asked everyone to introduce themselves.
Well, the group started singing, all the audience got to their feet ,started to clap, song finished, all the panel got to their feet clapping.
Remarks from the panel,Alesha said “Boxings answer to UB40”,Simon Cowell said “absolutely brilliant “ 4 YES,s your through to the live semi finals.
Unfortunately we were not picked for the live semi finals or shown on the audition shows, but here’s a few photos of the wonderful day everyone had.
