Skip into Spring

A large number of Amateur Boxing Clubs all over the country ,have over the last 2 years of this pandemic, suffered financially.

So we at The Ringside Charitable Trust have come up with an idea, not only to help them but also to raise funds for the charity.

We are calling it ”Skip into Spring” commencing in April and to run for the month. The idea being that all monies raised ,half will go to the club concerned and half to Ringside Charitable Trust 🥊🥊

Please see forms below,if you wish to take part and require forms, please contact me on

Many thanks 🥊🥊

Jebel Sirwa (3305m). – Morocco Please Note: twice the height of oor own Ben Nevis which stands proudly at 1,345m, then when you take in the heat? the kilt, my age (65) three hip flasks? all adds up to a great wee challenge,

I will be trekking for between 5 and 7 hours per day for several consecutive days. This challenge is not only a wonderful trekking adventure but a genuine cultural experience through a lesser known area of Morocco. For most of the trek, There is a reasonable amount of ascent and descent. On the ascent of the peaks, I will encounter rough conditions and zig-zag trails on scree whilst the final 30m ascent of Jebel Sirwa involves scrambling, with a short-exposed section. However the summit of Jebel Sirwa is optional and will not take away your holiday enjoyment if you decide not to go up the final 30m.(yeh like I, am not going to do that due to the slagging the lads would give me lol)If you wish to take part or sponsor please contact Jock on; mcinnes1984@outlook.com

Hi Paul

I hope you're well. Finally after some delay we have nailed down the date with the Spinnaker Tower. We have a team of twenty and had to book the Tower for our sole use so the booking was a little tricky, but I'm delighted we're finally there.

The date is SATURDAY 10th JULY beginning at 1200 hrs. Unfortunately this date wasn't suitable for all round good guys Jamie Speight and Jason Lepre, but on behalf of the team we can't thank them enough for their efforts in raising funds already. They'll definitely be with us in spirit on the day.

We're incredibly grateful to have raised over £5,000 of our £7,000 target already, and we will of course continue working to raise as much as possible.

I would also like to sincerely thank those who have already donated and continue to help us raise sponsorship and of course awareness of what a fantastic charity Ringside Charitable Trust truly is.

Anyone who wants to attend on the day to lend some support to what will undoubtedly be a special day are very welcome to join us.

One Voice.

Regards,

Andrew Fairley

Marathon Man

Boxers take a dive [sky that is]

Many boxers have entertained us over the decades, and many now need our help in hard times. All in our sport will be aware of former boxers who struggle mentally, physically and socially, and as fans we all have a responsibility. 2019 is our opportunity to raise funds for the Ringside Rest & Care Home, a fantastic project to establish a thirty-six bed residential care facility which will be of enormous benefit to those who sadly have no means of support in dark times.

A team of us, including current and former professional boxers Dave Birmingham, Joel McIntyre, Chris Hobbs, Jeff Ofori, Brad and Ashley Pauls ,top female prospect Lucy Wildheart and others to be confirmed will be undertaking a three mile high skydive on Saturday 1st June at GoSkyDive on Salisbury Plain to raise as much as we can to help this very valuable project, one that is very close to our hearts. The boxers and myself are covering the cost of the skydive ourselves, so every single penny raised without exception goes to the cause. It will be a very unique event, professional and former boxers all jumping out of a plane together to help our own, and we would be very, very grateful if you could donate and support us in our efforts.

Marathon man Ian at it again

Following on from earlier announcement, here is the fundraising page I've just set up. If this can be shared far and wide that would be a massive help. My new employer has a scheme in place to match fundraising by there employees up to £200, so if we can get up to that figure it would be huge.

But in short, come October 4th I will be running 26.2 miles around the Potteries to raise funds for this most worthy and noble cause and any/all support would be massively appreciated. Cheers.
